Our new darling.....

We went on an impulse shopping trip on the last day of my compliance leave (ie yesterday). Nothing uncommon for me as it serves as a last ditch effort to achieve financial freedom for my family.

Guess what we bought??

It's distinctively white (not related to our governing party) and really cool (definitely not our governing party).

It was love at first sight.... And we parted with a lot of dough in exchnage for a super cool yuber 20 inch iMac desktop!!

Here are the Woo and Aahhs of the iMac desktop:-

1) Hard disk that can be partitioned for both Windows and Mac OS.
2) Remote control for the desktop switching between modes for movies, TV shows, music, podcast etc
3) Possible total wireless system with in-built CPU
4) Slick OS system with new features like Spaces & Time machine.

One of my favourite application is GarageBand. If you ever watch the movie "Music & lyrics", its the really cool application that Hugh Grant uses to record the song "Way Back into Love" in his studio apartment.

Oh, another advantage of iMac OS over Windows is that it is less vulnerable to virus attacks.

The actual purpose of this machine is so that both TT and myself can be using computers at the same time and thus gives us more time to blog and work harder to design and do more stuff to make this site more interesting and cool, as well as pro :) However things are currently off to a slow start as we are still getting used to this new baby and we have not even loaded the Photoshop Elements software!

Stay tuned.

In the mean time, leave you with a photo of our cool desktop! :) Grabbed it from the Apple page, if you wanna see more, click here.

Back from Holidays and We love Western Australia!

We are back after a hectic 12 days visit to Western Australia, covering Perth to Albany.
So what have changed and what have we discovered during the trip? This is my list:-

1) TT has put on weight :P

2) Kayden too, now has nice rosy cheeks.... like his mom :)

3) Sophie's eczema has returned to haunt her. Both her cheeks are covered with red spotty rashes :(

4) Sophie is a crying monster and a girl with attitude. She snacks all the time but refuses proper meals.... i think she has the potential to become a model...provided she outgrows her parents..in height.

5) Kayden is getting better listening to his parents... i think he will grow up fine... hopefully..

6) My parents love the kids....but my mom complains too much and i realise my dad is a big baby.

7) I love australia, especially the farms. Am thinking of becoming a farmer or retiring there in a few years time.....

8) I love Singapore food and i miss the sun here...

9) Rusty boy misses us a lot... and we miss him too!!

10) Kayden's favourite food is chicken rice..

11) i still love Toyota... and i still dont like the idea of working for a living..

Well, will have more posts to come with loads of pictures.
good day mate!

Welcome!

We've got a new look! :0

It isnt quite ready yet, but I just dunno how to revert back to the old one and save this until it is 100% complete... so, this it shall be... Still getting used to the new look. It appears very plain and bare to me... I would like borders around the entries, but... Haha, yes, I dunno how to get that done :)

We'll be holidaying in Perth & Western Australia from tomorrow onwards. Dont foresee will have time to post entries, however, hope we actually do as there is just way too many old photos to upload and stuff to write before I forget!

Will write again soon, maybe later. After I sort out this page template and finish the packing! Hrrmmpphh. Gotta move faster!

By the way, I would love to hear from you our readers, what you would like to see on this page... I will consider all suggestions, and I promise to give it my best shot. Haha, as you should know by now, my IT-designing skill is absolutely limited but I will do my best! Would love to hear from you.

New schedule

So the hubby comes home... "No (blog) post today?" for the last 3 nights.

Guess it means I really can't wait for him to write as the expectation now is "Its your turn!" Haha. Oh well.

Truth be, I have been away from the blog, emails and FB for the last 2 weeks as I was trying to establish a new routine with some changes to our schedule. Sorry to friends I've not replied emails to! I've been 'away'.

K moved to morning session for his nursery class as our waitlist (since Feb) had only just come through on 1 July. So now he goes to school at 8.30am-12pm instead of the usual 2-5.30pm. But lucky he still loves his school despite the change and he seems to enjoy being in a classroom of all boys! For some reason the girls in his school seems to like the pm session more than mornings?

And since end-June, I had been accompanying Mei to her playschool at Julia Gabriel and gym class at The Little Gym 3 mornings a week. I enjoy all these sessions with her as it definitely help me bond with my daughter. Being the 2nd child, I never could give her 100% of my attention since she was born. In comparison to her brother whom I cared for fully (except for when I was away at work), I didnt feel so 'close' to her and it gave me a lot of anguish that I will never be close to her. But once I started bringing her to school and gym, like what Mich said, we became much closer and it is so great. I look forward to the classes as it is our special one-on-one time.

Both my kids' still really sticky to me... Mama Mama all the time... And if Mei calls, her brother will imitate as well (not wanting to be left out) so usually it is a chorus of "Mama Mama". Yes, it does feel 'irritating' at times, but really, I will not trade it for the world. Its great to know that I am the center of their universe and I can provide them with so much warmth, comfort and assurance, and it is enough for me to be me, to be their mom.

Since the change in our routine we have not had an 'excursion' yet... We used to do short trips to parks, Sentosa etc. The last one few ones were trips to Sentosa for waterplay and the pond next to KK Hospital ie next to K's school to feed turtles, pigeons & fishes... Realised have not posted pictures of these trips... my next post then! :)

Below is a clip (fairly long) of K laughing maniacally yesterday before his afternoon nap... Thus are my days of a full time mom... Mainly revolving around the kids and the little joys they bring...
